DIVINE MESSAGE - 23.04.10

Once a disciple said to Swami Sivananda ji, “Well Swamiji, I quite realize that contentment gives peace. But, I have a doubt. If I become contented, all my ambitions will die. I will become lethargic and lazy. On account of my various sorts of ambitions, I move about hither and thither; I exert and am energetic. Kindly remove this doubt of mine. I am quite bewildered.”
Swami ji simply replied, “Contentment can never make you idle. It is a sattvic virtue that propels man towards God, gives strength of mind and peace, checks unnecessary and selfish exertions, opens the inner eye of man and moves his mind towards divine contemplation. It transmutes the gross energy, viz., greed, that is forcing man towards selfish exertions, into spiritual energy. That man who is contented is full of Sattwa. He is more energetic now, turns out more work calmly with one-pointed mind. He is always peaceful. All the dissipated rays of the mind are collected now.”

DIVINE MESSAGE - 22.04.10

Contentment is the greatest gain which is beyond expression. Man’s desire of getting more and more never ends, as he gets one thing and tries to grasp another. O Lord! Give me a desireless mind and do not drag me in the carnal pleasures.

Everyone is self-concerned,
very few for others feel,
But they alone are loved and liked,

who work for others’ weal.

from hurtful pride and hate,
It should soothe the listener’s heart

DIVINE MESSAGE - 16.04.10

A soul can get salvation from the illusory world only when he strictly follows the pure laws of nature and attains the lofty ideal of oneness. The Omniscient is equally illuminating the whole universe i.e. in each and every soul, whatever body or form it has assumed, the divinity of oneness will be found immanent. (Mahatama Mangatram)

DIVINE MESSAGE - 15.04.10

All should know the maxim: “A contented mind is a continual feast.” The mind is always restless on account of greed. Greed is a kind of internal fire that consumes a man slowly. Contentment is a powerful antidote for the poison of greed. Just as a man who comes from a long walk in the sun is quite refreshed by taking a plunge in river Ganga, so also, that greedy man who is burnt by the fire of greed finds immediate joy and relief by a dip in the ambrosial waters of contentment. (Swami Sivananda)

DIVINE MESSAGE - 13.04.10

So long as the mind does not reach the ultimate destination of oneness with the Supreme being, a soul or living being cannot get rid of desires, wrath, bigotry, vanity and several sorts of heinous sins. (Mahatama Mangatram)

सोमवार, 12 अप्रैल 2010

DIVINE MESSAGE - 12.04.10

The thought of oneness is the real thought, which is sure to purify the inner self and put one on the royal road to Divine worship and lead him to the destination of self-realization. A seeker of truth, who wishes to reach the high altitude of communion with God and break the fetters of worldly woes, should develop the intellect of equanimity and banish the habit of controversial discussions from his mind.(Mahatama Mangatram)

DIVINE MESSAGE - 09.04.10

Great is he who worships God,
be he a slave or sire,
Greater still is he, O Kabir,
who worships sans desire.

DIVINE MESSAGE - 06.04.10

FOR FAULTS OF MANY, JUDGE NOT THE WHOLE. EVERYTHING ON EARTH IS OF MIXED CHARACTER, LIKE A MINGLING OF SAND AND SUGAR. BE LIKE THE WISE ANT THAT SEIZES ONLY SUGAR, AND LEAVES SAND UNTOUCHED. (Sri Mahavatar Babaji)

सोमवार, 5 अप्रैल 2010

DIVINE MESSAGE - 05.04.10

A PATIENT MAN ALWAYS KEEPS HIS HEAD COOL, A BALANCED MIND AND IS NOT AFRAID OF FAILURES AND DIFFICULTIES. MANY PEOPLE GET DISCOURAGED WHEN THEY ENCOUNTER DIFFICULTIES. THE ANTS COLLECT SMALL PARTICLES OF SUGAR AND RICE AND STORE THEM UP IN THEIR ABODE. HOW PATIENT AND PERSEVERING THEY ARE! FOR THE PRACTICE OF CONCENTRATION OF MIND, ONE SHOULD HAVE ASININE PATIENCE. (Swami Sivananda)

DIVINE MESSAGE - 02.04.10

NO SUCCESS, EITHER IN THE MATERIAL WORLD OR IN THE SPIRITUAL PATH, IS POSSIBLE WITHOUT PATIENCE AND PERSEVERANCE. DIFFICULTIES DO CROP IN AT EVERY STAGE, AND THESE ARE TO BE OVERCOME BY PATIENT EFFORTS AND PERSEVERANCE. ALL GREAT PERSONS OF THE WORLD HAVE ACHIEVED GREATNESS, SUCCESS AND EMINENCE THROUGH PATIENCE AND PERSEVERANCE. (Swami Sivananda)
